Hello Friends,
As many of you already know Downtown Dallas was hit hard on Friday May 29. My best friend Natalie G. Castillo business was vandalized after the Protest, along with many others. I think we can all say that watching the City that WE love being torn down was devastating to watch. Our voice is our Constitutional Right to be heard, The Peaceful Protest that took place earlier that day displayed that. What happened later that night was the criminal element at its finest. What happened to George Floyd was heartbreaking. Its ok to be angry, Its ok to be disgusted with the injustice in America. What is not ok is to take that anger out on a small business that were innocent to this injustice. Little do you know that these small businesses are owned by minorities who have their own story and struggles.
Studio 1514 has been serving their community in The Heart of Downtown Dallas since 2012. This hair salon brings so much joy to many women and men day in an day out. The atmosphere is contagious and it has a lot to do with the Team that works their.
I have set up this go fund me page for Natalie to help out with the damages. Those of you who have the pleasure of knowing Natalie personally know that she has a heart of gold. There have been countless times I have witnessed her generosity towards total strangers. She is one of the most selfless individuals I have ever met.
I Pray for All the Hearts that are full of Hate to be filled with Love. I Pray that we can stand together as Humans and realize we are not each others enemy. I Pray for Change... I Pray for Dallas.
