Before we get to the details, we want to ask you a question...
When you think of your personal school experience, what do you feel? *pause*
For many of us, our feelings associated with school are, sadly, less than positive. Some of us felt overlooked, bored, or maybe like we were 'too much'.
That is why at Canguros, we offer a unique school experience that is rooted in connection. When children feel connected in a safe environment, they are free to learn and grow. We offer a very low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:4, which allows us to connect with every child so that they feel seen, engaged, and heard.
...
Today, we are inviting individuals to support student scholarships and school sustainability. What does that mean, you ask?...
Student Scholarships- Your donation goes towards the tuition of a child. It costs $1500/month in tuition to attend Canguros full-time. While we believe what we offer holds great value, we also want to make sure our school is affordable and accessible for diverse student enrollment. We don't ever want money to deter a family from enrolling their child with us.
School Sustainability- Your donation goes towards ensuring the sustainability of a small, impactful school like ours. Let's take a look at our expenses- 72% goes towards paying our high quality teachers a liveable wage, 20% goes towards rent/utilities, with the remaining 8% left for everything else (repairs, toys, supplies, etc). We have plans to build more schools in the future, so we want to ensure we have a solid foundation first.
One-time and recurring donations are greatly appreciated. To set up recurring donations, simply visit the 'Donate' tab on our website. And, because we are a nonprofit (501c3), you will receive a year-end receipt for your tax-deductible donation(s).
