This fundraising is for the students of Calao Calao Elementary School where our mom attended and graduated. The public school is in Don Carlos, Bukidnon which is a rural area in Southern Philippines. Currently, the school has a total number of 367 students. We primarily wanted to donate books and sports equipment to help build their library and provide much needed physical education equipment. However, when talking to one of the teachers (who happens to be our aunt Maribeth), we asked her what other items that the students could benefit from, she mentioned how other students don’t have school supplies. As basic as this one, we imagined how in this world could you effectively learn if you don’t have these basic school supplies.
We already gathered and shipped sufficient amount of books, 900 plus pieces to be donated to their library. Now most importantly, as this task is a little bit more than the two of us could provide for the 367 students, we humbly ask whatever amount of contribution to assist with these basic school supplies such as pencils, papers, erasers, notebooks, crayons, pens, and scissors. Any additional funding will be towards the sports equipment to keep the kids physically sound as well.
We are planning for the turnover of the items mentioned and school supplies handed to each student by the end of June this year. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR UNWAVERING AND HEARTWARMING SUPPORT!
