Students for Ukrainian Orphanage

Your help is needed very urgently to support the orphanage in Iwano-Frankiwsk. Around 150 children are still in Ukraine and are exposed to a terrible situation.
As students, we would like to support the orphanage through a civic engagement project. Donations in kind of different sorts are needed. Therefore, the procedure is planned as follows: The first thing is to collect monetary donations. We will collect these at the nine FORTHEM universities & in our cities. Then we will use the money to buy needed products in Mainz. We think about collecting used things as well. There will be a transporter, organized by the Voivodeship of Opole, from Mainz to Opole to transport the donations, and from there on to Ukraine to the orphanage in Iwano-Frankiwsk (a region that is twinned with the Voivodeship of Opole). We students will drive to Poland and hand over the donations there by ourselves and closely accompany the process. We will document our journey on social media, check it out!
How did we become aware of it? At a meeting between the Voivodeship of Opole and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Opole, both regions decided to support an orphanage in Ukraine. As the FORTHEM Alliance was presented during the meeting, we wanted to see to what extent FORTHEM could be involved in this important action.
