Students for Liberty is a students initiative in Uganda that is advocating for a free society, individual liberty, Limited Government, Rule of Law, capitalism and a free market. Students for liberty Uganda was introduced to the country in 2013 and it has chapters in more than 20 universities in Uganda, with about 1,000 active members including students, graduates and professional activists.
Our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of leaders.
Our vision is a freer future.
We are determined to educate and empower young people to influence the prosperity for all and change mindsets towards the freer Africa in time to come.
We are changing and impacting on our societies to make a fundamental change to the wellbeing of all people and the country of Uganda.
We need to change the mindset of people and young professionals, students, and activists through understanding the idea of liberty for all.
We have created over 20 chapters in most of the big universities in Uganda, with about 1,000 people around the country who are lovers of liberty and actively advocating for it.
We have also established the first liberty library in Entebbe with a variety of books on philosophy, capitalism, and liberty. We are now building our second library in Kampala.
We have also organized a nearly 50 public and campus events around the country including Leadership Forums and Symposiums that train our people about liberty, and free market and sharing the ideas of liberty for all.
We are looking for funding to support our countrywide liberty movement which we plan to hold this year around the East, West and southern parts of the country. We are also raising money to establish the second Liberty Library and fill it with books.
We also need funding for our leaders and most active members to attend the international events in the neighboring countries like the Uhuru Conferences in Tanzania and the Regional conferences in Nairobi Kenya, where we have been invited to share our ideas.
We are launching a Liberty chapter in Makerere University which must be registered, along with our national organization. Without this registration, the government can prohibit us from having our events.
For all of these projects, we are raising $3,500.
Please help us spread these ideas across Uganda. We thank you so much for your generous donations.
