Teaching Reading For Bilingual 5th Graders

Hi, I am fundraising to fill a gap in our school budget this year. We are $2,000 short in covering the cost of access to a specific reading software program. I have 9 VERY eager 5th grade students who can not wait until they, like their peers, also have access to this program for reading.

Did you know that school budgets are pre-determined and often can not be adjusted easily? This is one of those situations where I did not predict the accurate number of licenses, and now I have 9 students without access.

This problem was much bigger, we initially needed 40 more licenses, and we were able to get 31 thanks to our district. However, they are not able to get us any more without our building raising the funds. Our school building budget is very tight this year, and it is already spoken for. I am not giving up though.

Can you please help us raise these funds?

This program is the most engaging, effective computer software program I have ever worked with in my 20 years of teaching. I have seen students who struggle and hate to read become proficient, joyful readers when this program was used alongside great teaching.

This program (Read 180) helps teachers do what we do best. It helps us support students in exactly the areas they need help when they need it. The information we get about student strengths and areas of challenge is accurate and helpful. The resources and strategies this program gives teachers are efficient, evidence-based, and brain-science informed.
