Hello everyone,

My name is Sourabh, and I’m an international student living in Canada. I recently had to undergo hernia surgery, which came unexpectedly and left me facing a very difficult financial situation.

I came to Canada as a student, and I finished my studies in May. Unfortunately, my student insurance ended about two months ago, and since I am still waiting for my work permit, I am not yet eligible for OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan). Because of that, I had to pay for my surgery entirely out of pocket.

The hospital gave me an estimated bill of $18,000 CAD, which I simply cannot afford on my own. I currently work part-time at a restaurant, but my income is just enough to cover my basic living expenses like rent, food, and transportation.

I’m raising funds to help me pay my hospital bills and recover without the overwhelming stress of this financial burden. Every small contribution will make a big difference in helping me get back on my feet.
