Appeal against student visa refusal

A week ago my student visa got refused, given the reason they ‘think’ I’m not a genuine student, ironically I’m almost finishing my first semester, busy preparing for upcoming exams:)

Now I have 2 weeks left to leave the country or appeal with about 8 to 10 grands depends how the court goes. After talking to lawyer and immigration agents and friends, I decided to appeal, with the money I don’t have, which led me to plan fundraising event. But to be honest I am in the middle of chaos timing, not really have time and energy to do a fundraising event right now. Some friends suggested me to do gofundme first, I have been procrastinating because I struggle with receiving before I can give anything. I know logically I shouldn’t think like that, but we all know what it feels like to battle with our emotional brains. I guess here is a big lesson for me.

For sure an amazing event is brewing, I just have to accept I can’t do it right now, I need my full focus on upcoming exams.
