A short-film about love and spiders...

I'm Oscar, a recent graduate from film school. This is currently my first proper short silent-film called 'Spider' where I will be working with a team.

Based on the mating ritual of peacock spiders (who dance and appear all colorful and jazzy to attract their larger, scarier, man-eating female counterpart), The story revolves around three spiders, personified into human beings, looking to attract one another through their erratic dancing.

This means everything to me, because now I have the responsibility to respect the money I may be given and to make something that speaks to me on a deeper level. As someone who has dealt with abuse, to form an interpretive film about the matter became deeply personal, and something which allowed me to externalize my problems onto an artistic vehicle.

I've made a spreadsheet written in CZK (The Czech currency as although I put my families home address, I will be filming this in the Czech Republic) but translated it to Euros for simplicity. The funds will go towards the actors, the film rolls as I will be using a Bolex 16mm camera from the silent-film era. I've managed to assemble a group of cast members willing to work with me for free on the project, out of passion for the art form.

Perhaps I can receive the funds via IBAN and transfer? I think that would be easier. What I can promise is that this is legitimate, and I will credit your name as one of the people responsible for helping bring this to life. Thank you so much for reading.
