We are three Toronto film students looking for funding for our short narrative film, "Curtains".

"Curtains" is a psychological thriller / drama about a young couple who are solicited by their elderly neighbours to let them watch them through their window at night.

Isolation and paranoia are universal experiences we can all relate to, and are the core of this film. We strive to make a film that can capture the anxiety of modern day life, and feeling of constantly being watched that the internet and cell phones provide.

On top of this, we are interested in exploring the way relationships can change with time and external pressures. Films like Caché, and The Shining are key reference points because of the way they put the family dramas at the centre stage of their plots. The way that the intimate relationships in the film change and complicate is another universal struggle that we’re sure audiences can relate to on multiple levels.
