Student Play: Death of a Salesman

Last year my peers and I at Jackson Prep decided we wanted to try and put on a Student Led production of the play "Of Mice and Men".  We had no funds and no idea how to go about moving forward with the project.  So, we turned to you, the community, to help us on our endeavor.  We now come to you again, hoping we can prove to all of you that we can once again put on a great show while also gaining experience and knowledge as young students, actors, and performers.  This year we have decided to take on Arthur Miller's classic "Death of a Salesman".  This show presents a new set of challenges that we need help taking on, and we know that these funds will help us overcome these challenges.  The funds we raise will go to building the set, renting the theatre space to put on the play, purchasing costumes, props, makeup, production rights, and so on.  Our plan is for the play to open on June 23rd and to close the following evening on the 24th. We believe that putting on these student led productions gives young people that are passionate about acting and theatre an environment that is condusive to the creative process AND a place to grow as an artist.  We are forever grateful for the support you gave us last year, and hope that we can once again entertain you this year.
