As you may know, student midwives study for 3-4 years before they can qualify. During this time, we must spend at least 2,300 hours working within the NHS for free - as well as attending university Monday-Friday and completing assignments! We love supporting families and facilitating the birth of beautiful babies, but we're left with very little time for socialising or working alongside the course.

The Midwifery with Leadership Society are hoping to arrange a ball to help our fellow students celebrate their hard work and achievements, and to generally have a fabulous time! However, many of our members are unable to attend due to having very little personal funds (the downside of attending such a full on course) and as a society we're therefore quite low on funds as ticket sales contribute to this.

As such, we're asking those around us, who see our hard work and efforts, if they would donate to help us arrange this event. We would be incredibly grateful, as it would allow us provide a lovely venue and tickets to those who otherwise couldn't afford to attend.
