I was part of the legal support team for the 134 UMass Arrestees in May, 2024.

All of our arrestees were cleared of charges.

One of our arrestees, a graduate student whose funding was severely impacted as part of the fallout of being arrested has also since been terminated from their non-university position explicitly for having been involved in the May 7th encampment gathering. This person needs to maintain anonymity as they seek employment, but because GoFundMe standards, let's call them Michelle Minhaj.

While this person is seeking employment and getting back on their feet from this, they need to be able to pay rent, feed their pet, keep their wifi connection, etc. They were terminated in November and have already had to exhaust their savings.
