Student Film "A Touch of Vengeance"

Hello everyone!
My name is Jordan-Kane Lewis. I’m a filmmaker from the UK, a 3rd-year student studying film at the UCR. I have written the screenplay for “A Touch of vengeance” and will be directing the student film.
The story
The story follows 3 characters:
- The first being a Cleaner called Lucas (a kind of handyman doing hit jobs, cleaning up bodies, etc.)
- The second Maria was the victim of an attack.
- The third the culprit of Maria's attack Marcus.
Marcus is the main antagonist who’s driven by his violent tendencies and gets away with a lot of stuff since his dad is the head of “The Family” a gang organization. He attacked Maria then thinking she was dead rings up his father for help which leads to Lucas getting a cleaning job. After the cleaning job was finished, Lucas drives to a drop of point to drop off the bodies Maria wakes up. Anyway, stuff happens Lucas and Maria form a trainer/trainee relationship, Lucas gets killed, Maria goes away and then after a few months returns seeking revenge.
More about the film
The film is inspired by American, Hong Kong, and Korean cinema.
It’s an action-revenge film ending with elements from the horror genre.
The film is also nonlinear.
The money will help go towards...
- SFX - pyrotechnics and makeup.
Pyrotechnics for the bullet shots and blowing up specific objects. Makeup for brushes and open wounds.
- Actors/Actresses and Extras.
The actors cost a bit of money and with the money I have for the film now it would mean we would be working too a tight schedule. If we were able to raise enough money this would allow us to shoot for more days, making the schedule less tight and giving us the options to shoot over more days.
There are a few scenes where we will need a few extras which will take a big chunk out of the current budget. If we are able to raise enough this would help me greatly with securing extras.
- Food and travel for the actors.
