Support “Orchid” — a short film by Crew 6
Hey!
We are Crew 6: Connie, Choice, Gergo, and Natalia, four students currently following the AMFI minor Fashion & Visual Culture. Over the past weeks, this project has grown into something deeply personal for each of us. It is more than a school assignment; it is a way to explore the themes we are collectively drawn to: power, desire, vulnerability, and the strange, private performances that happen behind closed doors.
Our film, “Orchid”, is told entirely without dialogue. Instead, it relies on atmosphere, body language, visual tension, and the subtle emotional distance between two people who are entangled in more ways than one. We want the viewer to feel like they have stepped into a moment they were never meant to witness, a moment that slowly brings forward the central question of our film:
How much power do we have over what we desire?
This question guides not just the story, but our process as makers. We are learning to push ourselves past what feels safe, to work intuitively, and to trust the unsettling or unexpected ideas that keep returning to us. It has been challenging, exciting, and grounding all at once.
To build the world this film needs, we are raising funds for:
- Renting the hotel location
- Custom props
- Lighting and technical equipment
- Transportation and meals for cast and crew
- Post-production costs
