Hi Friends and Family,

Today I learned that one of my students who I haven't seen since the storm on Monday left school to find that her home was destroyed by the flooding, and that her family is now temporarily homeless. I cannot share the identity of the student, but I can share that she is a wonderful teenager who is a member of a multigenerational family living with two hard-working parents, an older sister with two small children, their grandmother, and their dog.

The family is safe at the Red Cross shelter now, but their next steps and immediate future are still unclear. I want to raise some money to support the family in this transitional time. Being displaced is very expensive, so every little bit will help this family in an unimaginable difficult time.
