I purchased this car from Carvana in January 2025. From that time until the end of April, it was in the shop more days than it was in my possession, with the warranty paying over $14,000 for various major repairs. After the warranty expired, a continuation of the same issues have persisted, and while they acknowledge it is similar, there is no coverage to repair it. I have tried to work with Carvana, but they accept no responsibility for selling a vehicle in poor condition beyond the warranty they provided with the purchase. I've filed complaints with regulatory agencies including the Minnesota Attorney General, to no avail. The vehicle needs another estimated $3,300 in repairs that I am hoping will finally fix it all.

I'm taking the extraordinary step of asking you all for help because I have exhausted all of my available options and I'm stuck. I was a mortgage underwriter for over 20 years. Unfortunately, I was laid off from my job while in the hospital ill in 2022, during the time when interest rates were rising and most mortgage companies were downsizing. I was unemployed for over a year while recovering from my illness and searching for a new job. My industry has changed significantly, so returning to my career has not been an option, and I haven't been successful in transferring those skills to a comparable field. I've managed to find steady employment, albeit at a significantly lower compensation, so I've yet to recover financially from the loss of income. I decided to move to a new state for a fresh start and an opportunity for more earnings, but I needed the car to accomplish the move. So I financed what appeared to be a solid vehicle with a modest payment, planning to use it to earn more money. However, the mechanical issues have prevented me from earning the extra income. I cannot produce the money to make the repairs without using the vehicle to earn said money. I'm barely surviving so there are no additional resources to fix this situation.
