Stuck in Limbo After Work Injury- Any Help Means the World
Donation protected
First off I want to thank anyone who takes the time to read this. And thank you to anyone who shares this with others.
Hi, my name is Avery, and it's been a rough time recently. I was injured at work back in June. Things have gotten to the point where I have been out of work due to this injury. I'm covered by workers' compensation, but they haven't been paying me weekly like they're supposed to. My lawyer has been trying to get in touch for about three weeks now. This means I am stuck in a sort of limbo, unfortunately.
As of this issue, my fiancé, Jake is the only one with a steady income, and everything is coming out of his paycheck. I'm grateful for him and how hard he works, but this can only get us so far for so long. That means we have to pick and choose which necessity is more important than the others.
With my injury I'm unable to help with the day-to-day financial needs of the home. We are doing all we can to stay afloat, but it's getting more difficult by each week. We are falling behind on electricity and groceries, and rent is about to become impossible if this continues much longer.
We don’t like asking for help like this, but we’re at the point where even a small donation could mean staying connected, fed, or cool. Anything you can give would go toward basic survival: power, groceries, and gas.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing helps more than you know. Thank you for your kindness. And may kindness come back to you.
