Update: Jan 3, 2026 - I had the travel ban lifted off my passport and not without complications, made it home safe. I still have to appear in Indias courts to determine to penalty assigned to me. 

I had been extremely ill in many ways and took a shower and went straight to bed after 2 hours of sleep per night the previous 2 nights. I woke up to a text stating they had court without me, and assigned a new date, that new date the judge was on leave and I will be assigned year another date. 

So we are still waiting. My lawyer reassures me and it’s just a waiting period. 

Thank you all for your prayers and support and getting me home. I have since recovered from all the illnesses and just have the long term GI parasite recovery, nervous system dis regulation and trauma to keep working through. 

UPDATE: I am beyond grateful to all my friends, family, new friends, new family, strangers, who have rallied behind me to help me get home. All your prayers, donations, gifts of time, money and resources, are helping me more than you could even know. God is so good and uses the communities around us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support and help.

Hello everyone,

I never imagined I would be in a situation like this, but I desperately need your help. I traveled to India to provide medical care to the community with Chinese medicine. The trip took an unexpected turn when I was detained at the airport in New Delhi, I have been released from the police and am now awaiting a court trial.

It has been incredibly humbling and difficult to navigate this while alone and so far from home. The court has a significant delay due to the Diwali holiday, leaving me stuck here until after the 24th. I am safe and doing my best to remain hopeful, but honestly, I am scared.

If you or anyone you know has connections in India, experience with International, telecommunications or immigration law, or can help us reach someone in the US or Indian Government, please reach out to me as soon as possible. Even a small lead or introduction could make a huge difference. With the government shut down and Government resources being closed on weekends and Holidays, help remains unaccessible.

In addition to prayers for a quick resolution and favor in court, I am in urgent need of funds to cover the significant legal and court fees, fines, accommodation, and new flights. Any contribution, big or small, will help lift this enormous burden and get me one step closer to coming home.
