We will be walking up Snowdon to raise awareness of AVMs (Arteriovenous Malformations) in memory of Stu Grant, who passed away suddenly at the age of 36. Stu was a young, kind, and healthy man who embraced exercise and lived life fully. Stu lived life with a generosity of spirit that touched everyone around him. Losing Stu so unexpectedly has left a pain that words can’t fully capture. His loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.
AVMs are rare, often silent, and can be devastating. Too many families only learn about them when it’s already too late. The Butterfly AVM Charity is working to change that. They fund essential research across the UK, aiming to develop:
* Definitive treatments that can save lives
* Blood tests capable of detecting AVM risks early
* Better understanding of the abnormalities that lead to AVMs
This research is urgently needed, and it relies on donations.
This mountain walk honours Stu as a son, brother, and a friend to many, whose absence has left an irreplaceable space in our lives.
We love and miss you Stu, this is for you.
If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. Your support genuinely makes a difference.
And if anyone wishes to join us, the Mountain Climb will be on Wednesday 02/09/2026, meeting point is at the start of Llanberis Path by the Carpark LL55 4TD @08:30am. Victoria Terrace, North Wales.
Thank you for your support.
