Stuart Chandler Memorial to Highland Health System

This memorial fund is to honor Stuart Chandler and to benefit Highland Health Systems in Anniston, AL. Highland Health took care of Stuart and so many others who struggle with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse. 

As others have said, to know Stuart was to love him. He was such a light in this world, no matter how hard the world tried to dim it. As he now shines down on us, this is our way to share his light with those who treated, helped, and cared for him. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help HHS to better provide services like children and adult outpatient treatments, rehabilitative services, hospitalizations, and many more. 

Mental health is health, and the stigma that comes with mental illness has got to go. Until we can empower those who are suffering to seek help and treatment, we will continue to lose the ones we love. Stuart gave it the good fight, but there are so many who are afraid to take the first punch. My hope is that this immense, heartbreaking loss will be a catalyst in building mental health awareness that will ultimately help save countless other people's lives.
