Let's help Ricardo!

Hey everyone,

It’s John Wilds. I’m raising money for someone who’s like a son to me, Ricardo Thomas. He had an emergency surgery weeks ago and was cleared to travel before leaving for a trip to Bulgaria to visit his sweetheart, Sarah. Unfortunately, the doctors here in Florida didn’t give him antibiotics after his procedure, and while on his flight Bulgaria, he began to experience debilitating pain. Upon arrival, he ended up in the hospital again with what turned out to be an infection that was beginning to spread in his body. The doctors immediately called for another surgery (one more intense than the previous surgery). Due to the nature of this procedure, Ricardo is unable to travel back home until March. On top of this, the medical expenses will need to be paid up front before he can leave.

We would like to help Ricardo with his medical expenses, as well as any other expenses that he will incur as a result of this situation. Many of you have met Ricardo on the road with me as he plays bass. To know him is to LOVE him. Again, he is like a son to me so this has been a difficult few weeks, but we are EXTREMELY thankful to God for a successful surgery and for protecting Ricardo during this ordeal. He is in good spirits and grateful for all the prayers and support he’s received from his family, friends and so many of you. I am in consistent contact with his dad and we felt this was the best way to rally support.

Any amount will help. However, even if you are unable to support financially, please continue praying for Ricardo’s recovery and safe travels back to the U.S.
