What started out as a ER visit for some leg and eye pain turned into a 3 week stay at the hospital and a whole lifestyle change. One day she was a healthy teenager and then one day she wasn’t. My daughter was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis days before her 18th birthday. Ms is usually found later in life but her symptoms showed aggressively at 17 and she spent her 18th birthday in the hospital.

I work a full time job but it does not pay me when I have to take off work for her appointments and stuff. As we all know, the bills don’t stop just because life got hard. I still have to find a way to make up the money I am missing out on to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table as well as take care of my other kids. I also have to be able to take her back and forth to multiple doctor appointments throughout the week in a different town then where we live. Our town is small so it does not have the right doctors for her needs. I have tried to get them to schedule the appointments after my work day but it often does not work out that way so I am still missing a lot of work. I even started to DoorDash to try to make up some of the funds. I am trying everything I can but I also need to be home to take care of her. The Ms has caused her mobility issues so she has to walk with a walker at 18 years old. It has also caused issues with her eyes so she has trouble seeing and needs someone to guide her for even simple task like eating and going to the bathroom. She maybe 18 now but she is still my baby and needs my help through all of this.

I set this gofund me up to help me get enough money for a lawyer to try to get her disability. If she can get disability, it will help cover the funds that I miss on my normal check when going to the appointments and stuff. I will still be working my full time job everyday and doing everything I can to support my family as I have always done, I just need some help so I can also do for her what she needs done. I was not prepared for this nightmare and do not have extra funds sitting around to cover all these unexpected expenses. Just in the short time we have been dealing with this already, we have fallen behind on our bills.
