Support family for rehab and expenses for daughter
Donation protected
My daughter had a major stroke at the young age of 34 years old. At the time of the stroke, she had not re-signed up for medical coverage with Kroger. She has been a grocery manager at Kroger for 7 and a half years. So, she has no medical insurance, and we have been trying to fight the good fight and go at it alone to cover all her needs, me and her mom. We are very proud people and we don’t ask for handouts. Normally, we are the ones giving and providing for our family members. We have had to rearrange our entire lifestyle to accommodate our daughter and our 3 grandkids, who have moved in with us. And don’t forget the dog. We are outside dog lovers, not inside, but it would break our grandkids' hearts if we didn’t let the dog stay inside. So, we are accommodating them. Our daughter requires around-the-clock care. So, at the moment, one of us has to always be home with her. We never expected to be in this situation, but we have learned life has plenty of curveballs along the way. We were moving right along, trying to make everything work out for our daughter and the grandkids. And just like that, out of the sky, falls a medical bill for $1.555 million, which we are responsible for $328,000 and some change. This is how we find ourselves on GoFundMe. Because with the responsibility of our daughter and grandkids, we need your help. We are truly thankful to even have some type of outlet to even ask for help. It can be $1 or $10,000; we are very grateful for any donation at all. Again, thanks for letting us share our story.
