Struggling to Stay Afloat – Any Help Means Everything

Three years ago, just three days before my birthday, I lost my mom. Shortly after, I was laid off from my tech job. In search of family support and a fresh start, I moved to Florida from Texas to be there for my sibling and my dad during a difficult time. While there, I poured my heart into opening a small business in honor of my mom, and ran it for two years, all while trying to find work in the tech field—but local opportunities in my area were limited.

Five months ago, I returned to Texas, hoping to rebuild my life. But life has been challenging. I had to give up my apartment in florida and, eventually, my car, just to avoid further financial trouble. I am currently receiving temporary housing support, but it will end soon, and I still don’t have stable income. Without a car or money for transportation, even finding local work is difficult.

I have a remote tech interview coming up, and I’m putting all my energy into it, hoping it’s the opportunity that can turn things around. But until then, I am struggling to survive. I have no money for basic necessities like food, toiletries, and other essentials. In just a few weeks, I will be without a home.

I’m asking for support to cover immediate needs while I continue pursuing stability and employment. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in my life and give me hope during this difficult time.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story and helping me get back on my feet.
