I recently went back to school, and it has been enormous for me! After my brain stem stroke and diagnosis of Locked In Syndrome, I never thought something as simple as going back to school would be possible - yet here I am! Just the act of attending classes, submitting homework, and speaking with professors and students is providing me with the much needed skills I need to try to get back into the workforce. Though it will be hard since I'm still wheelchair bound, I'm at least taking a step toward a normal life.
