Hello! I am really struggling right now. I’ve been fighting for so long to stay afloat & I’ve finally reached a point where I’m almost ready to give up or work myself to death with no break. I work in an elementary school in the autistic support classroom. It takes me about 25 minutes to drive there. I also work at a local grocery store & have been there 11 years. I’ve been walking home in the dark which takes me about 20 minutes. I was there during Covid & instead of taking my work breaks, I went up every aisle to let people know what was in stock. I did grocery shopping for a 90 year old woman who didn’t want to leave her home. I helped a mom & her two boys that just got out of a bad situation start over fresh by using my car & trailer full to deliver all new kitchen appliances & supplies, clothes, bedding, bathroom supplies, etc. I collect all year for the Hershey Bears teddy bear toss & need my car for that. I use my trailer to haul big branches & cut grass to the recycling center. I have helped members of the community many times with my car & trailer. I need my car to get to work at the school & grocery store. I actually took a third job in the evening but I lost that since I can’t get there. I had to take Friday off from the school because I couldn’t get a ride. I NEED my car! I don’t have $ for a down payment, no $ to make payments, & no $ to fix my car. I’m getting farther behind on my bills and barely have enough to make my house payment each month, & almost nothing left to pay my other bills. Now this! I don’t get support from my ex & am trying to be a good mom & work hard! I don’t get to do anything extra with my son & I feel bad. My car needs fixed & anything extra $ will go for bills. I have no breathing room & nothing left in savings. Please if you can help me, I will continue to help out in the community and pay it forward! My car needs a new water pump and I’m told the timing belt also may need changed.I’ve worked hard on taking care of my car, keeping up with minor/major repairs & even had a mechanic comment on how well my car ran.
