funds to help support after our loss

Donation protected
My Brother and I lived with our single Mother until December 31st, New Year's Eve. She started having severe confusion so, I took her to the ER that night. A few hours later I get a call saying she had brain cancer. After days in the hospital, my Mother was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (inoperable brain tumor) with weeks to live. She remained in the hospital and died on January 30th, leaving me and my teenage brother alone.
My brother, Ben, (15) attends a demanding and very challenging high school magnet program that he worked extremely hard to get into with the intention of getting a good education and for our mother to be proud. Even after this traumatic experience, he has held his head and his grades up high. A few days before our Mother’s passing he made the varsity lacrosse team at his school. One of the last times he saw her, she, for the most part, was unable to speak, but she managed to express that she was proud of him.
With me now being responsible for taking and picking him up, it can be hard with my own class schedules.
I was working until I found out about the sickness, I picked up from where she left off caring for my brother. I am 20 and in my second year of college. I have now picked up the bills, my brother's responsibilities, and even a rescue dog and cat which sit by her door confused. My mother had no insurance for herself. She always found a way to meet our needs plus more, but sadly she wasn't able to leave us much at all.
This fund is for me and mostly my brother to continue our education. With rent, transportation, groceries, health expenses, equipment for Ben’s studies and sports, animal needs, plus much more it can be exceedingly difficult.
Will you please help us achieve all that our mother strived for us, as she lived for us and our future. Anything given is greatly appreciated. We so need help and prayers.
