Structure Fire Emergency Fund for Kyle Standiford

Donation protected
Just before 2 a.m. on June 6, 2025, a structural fire broke out, prompting the evacuation of more than 30 residents on the 500 block of Fifth Avenue between Anza and Balboa in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond. One of those residents was Kyle Standiford, who is now facing the overwhelming uncertainty of having lost everything in the blaze — including the heartbreaking loss of his beloved cat.

Kyle has a big heart and an even bigger passion. He’s always the first to raise his hand to help others, and his authenticity inspires those around him to show up too. He constantly downplays his own role and accomplishments to shine the spotlight on others, because he’s humble to a fault. Like many who give love so freely, Kyle struggles with asking for or receiving help. In this moment of unimaginable loss, he’s probably quietly telling himself, “I’ll figure it out,” because tragedy often makes people feel isolated and afraid.

Kyle deserves the same — if not greater — level of support, compassion, and generosity from his community, friends, colleagues, and loved ones as he so willingly gives to others. While it’s hard to imagine, try to put yourself in his shoes — and lead with your heart. Love and support are most deeply felt when they’re backed by action. No matter the amount, every dollar makes a difference and adds up.

Insurance claims take time — but Kyle needs us now.
