Our sweet mama, Sue, was diagnosed with gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma on March 16th after a week-long hospitalization. The news was devastating for our family, and since then, Sue has been bravely facing a series of challenges. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will soon have an extensive surgery to remove a section of her esophagus, followed by more chemotherapy. The treatments are taking a toll on her physically and emotionally, and she is unable to work during this time.
As a result, Sue is facing mounting medical bills, including the cost of traveling from Vero Beach to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa for her treatments. In addition to these medical and travel expenses, she still has her routine bills to manage, all while being unable to earn an income. The financial strain is overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to support her, but we need help from our community to get through this difficult time.
Sue is a loyal mom, nana, wife, and friend. She fiercely loves those around her and has so much fight in her. She is facing this battle with tenacity and grace. We deeply appreciate your prayers, positive thoughts, and kind words as she fights this battle with all of us by her side. Any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation, a message, or simply sharing this fundraiser—means the world to us. Thank you for standing with Sue and our family during this challenging journey.
