The strongest force on earth has to be the love of a mother. Over a year ago, my very healthy 31 year old son went to the doctor with shortness of breath. He is now on life support-apparently a rare virus attacked his heart and lungs.
After my job of 18 years was downsized, I had just gotten a new job....one week later my son was in ICU and has been in the hospital mostly since then.
As my son is struggling, I made the very easy decision that time with my son is much more important than time spent at work. It's a decision I think most mothers would understand.
As I'm about five years away from retirement, the timing isn't great. I'm almost through my retirement money already and about to lose my house.
Once you have a child, they are your miracle no matter how old they are. And as a mom I am here to take care of them no matter what.
