Eden Wright is your average toddler, he loves to play outside with his mom Sequana. They play tag, chase, hide and seek, blow bubbles, everything you could expect from a rambunctious little boy.
On Friday, August 21, this all changed. Sequana noticed that Eden was bruising abnormally easily, and took him to his pediatrician. Upon running some routine tests, his pediatrician noticed something wasn't right in Edens blood, he was sent to Banner UMC for further diagnosis.
Saturday August, 22, Sequana heard the words no parent should ever have to hear, Cancer. The doctors discovered Eden has Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and is now in the fight for his life.
Eden will be in the hospital receiving chemotherapy and radiation for the next month, then depending on his test results, he might be able to go home and then return for outpatient treatments for an indefinite amount of time. Today, Eden is in surgery receiving a port for his treatments, and being tested to see if the cancer is in his bones.
Sequana is a single mom, and everything she does is for her son, she is in need of assistance to allow her to stay with her son in the hospital, she is all he has and he is all she has. She needs help to not fall behind on her monthly bills as well as the ever growing hospital bills that are going to be incoming for months and years to come.
No mother should ever have to help her child fight for his life. This battle is hard enough, and she should not have to worry about paying bills at this time, her sole focus needs to be on her baby boy.
Any and all help is beyond appreciated, and no donation is too small, if you can spare anything to help my dear friend and her son, she will be forever grateful to you and so will sweet Eden.
