Hi Everyone,
My name is Dr. Claudette Peterkin, and I am a special education teacher in New Jersey. I hate to ask, but I need your support. My family in Jamaica has experienced a devastating loss. Hurricane Melissa tore through their community, completely destroying my two sisters' and my brother's homes. In just a few hours, everything they worked their whole lives to build was gone.
They are now left with nothing—no clothes, furniture, appliances, beds, or basic household items. They are trying to rebuild from scratch, but the damage is overwhelming, and the cost is far beyond what they can manage alone.
We are seeking your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help them replace essential items, secure a safe shelter, and begin the long process of recovery. I would also like to contribute a portion of the funds to the School of Hope in Savanna La Mar for students with disabilities, so they can have a classroom environment that is conducive for learning.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers. We are deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
