The Friends of the Long Family have put this fundraiser together:
Stronger Together for Trevor Long
Trevor Long is a senior at Marquette University finishing his degree in BioMedical Engineering. Trevor has been fighting Ulcerative Colitis, an auto-immune disease, for more than 5 years.
When diagnosed he spent weeks in the hospital and missed the majority of his first semester of his Jr year in highschool He fought hard to get back on track, graduate in time and achieve his goal of attending MU. Since then, he has endured countless appointments, hospital stays, infusions and injections over the past 5 years.
Being his last semester in college, he has pushed himself to finish his education and beat this disease, yet the disease had other ideas.
Trevor was recently admitted to the hospital with severe complications from ulcerative colitis and unfortunately had to have his entire colon removed. He has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks, which is especially hard on him because he should be preparing to graduate and start to live his life. All of this will have to be put on hold as he manages this disease while trying to finish his final semester of college
He will need 2 additional surgeries over the next 6 months to a year, while also trying finish up his education. This is a lot to wrap your head around as a young man who is ready to go make his own difference in the world.
We are remaining hopeful with the love and support from friends and family that he will do just that. As Trevor works hard to recover, multiple expenses have popped up including tuition, rent, and medical expenses. All funds raised at this time will go directly to Trevor to help him down this road to recovery and finish his degree.
