Hearing the word "cancer" is so life-altering, especially if it's a child. Our family received the news of the big "C" early in 2025. At only 17 years old, my niece, Andrea, was supposed to be living her best years of high school and looking forward to her college education. Instead, she is in and out of hospital rooms fighting to get back on her feet.

Andrea has aspirations to become a doctor. She has been accepted to Santa Clara University and is looking forward to continuing her education. She loves watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Chivas de Guadalajara on game days with her family. She loves her three loving brothers and her two doggies. Andrea is such a loving, sweet, and caring young woman. She brightens the room with her smile and laughter.

Right now, Mari and Hector are focusing on giving all the medical care possible, including seeking medical treatments outside the country. Facing overwhelming medical and travel expenses, we are humbly asking for your help to ease the financial burden. Every contribution helps, no matter the amount; it will help! We are grateful for all the help and prayers our family has received up to this point, but we still have a long road ahead of us. We want to thank all of you in advance for being part of Andrea's road to recovery.

Escuchar la palabra "cáncer" es algo que cambia la vida, especialmente cuando se trata de una joven. Nuestra familia recibió la noticia de la gran "C" a principios de 2025. Con tan solo 17 años, mi sobrina Andrea debería estar viviendo los mejores años de la preparatoria y esperando con ilusión su educación universitaria. Andrea tiene el sueño de convertirse en doctora. Ha sido aceptada en la Universidad de Santa Clara y espera continuar con su educación. Le encanta ver a los San Francisco 49ers y a las Chivas de Guadalajara los días de partido con su familia. Ama a sus tres hermanos cariñosos y a sus dos perritas. Andrea es una joven tan amorosa, dulce y bondadosa. Ilumina la habitación con su sonrisa y sus risas.

En este momento, Mari y Héctor están enfocados en brindarle toda la atención médica posible, incluyendo la búsqueda de tratamientos médicos fuera del país. Enfrentando abrumadores gastos médicos y de viaje, humildemente les pedimos su ayuda para aliviar la carga financiera. Cada contribución ayuda, sin importar la cantidad. ¡Todo suma! Estamos agradecidos por toda la ayuda y las oraciones que nuestra familia ha recibido hasta este momento, pero aún tenemos un largo camino por recorrer.
