Half Marathon for Doorstep

Donation protected
So, I’ve decided to run and fundraise for a half a marathon to support Doorstop.

I’ll be running the AJ Bell Half Marathon on 31st May, which many of you know this is no small task for me.

The charity I’ve chosen to support is Doorstep, a small local charity based in Grimsby and Cleethorpes that makes a real difference to young people’s lives. They help support vulnerable people aged 16–25 who are facing homelessness or unsafe living situations for a variety of unfortunate reasons.

Doorstep provides housing, guidance, and the opportunity to help them build brighter, independent futures.

Why this means so much to me

On 9th October 2025, I lost my dad to a overdose. He had struggled with addiction since his teenage years, with many trips to rehab and different kinds of support along the way.

By supporting young people before things spiral, we can help prevent the same cycles of addiction and homelessness that sadly shaped my dad’s life. While this may not affect everyone directly, building a safer, stronger, and more supported community benefits us all.

This is a personal challenge for me, and a way to support young people who need help at the right time. After researching local charities, Doorstep stood out as somewhere I knew could really make a difference.

And finally

Thank you so much for your support and visiting this page — and for helping me turn this loss into something positive for our community.
