On Saturday, November 30th, 2019, my husband and our family were  involved in a tragic grease fire. While preparing a meal for the children and ourselves our kitchen caught fire. My husband suffered severe injuries to the lower half of his body. He was attempting to put out the fire and if he had not done so; the fire would have spread uncontrollably.
Unfortunately while striving to remove the burning grease, the pot holding it broke apart causing the grease to spill on him and causing him to collapse. He was burned from his mid thighs to his feet causing him to fall directly into the fire. Due to his heroic actions not only was our home saved from being completely destroyed, but our whole apartment building was able to be salvaged. After being transported to the Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia and having surgery, he is unable to walk or work. We are striving to continue physical therapy to help him regain strength to the lower half of his body. All of our clothes and children's clothes and belongings were either burned or damaged by smoke. We are raising money to help cover any excess medical expenses, pay bills & buy clothes for our family. Anything that you have on your heart that you can afford to give will be greatly appreciated!
