Update (01/21/24): It is with tremendous sadness to share that Trey Soto has passed.
Trey transitioned from this world to the next surrounded by family and friends on Sunday. We thank you all for your tireless support and love.
Trey's wife, Paula, is very grateful and is heartbroken to be without her Strongman.

Trey and Paula Soto are a dynamic duo who have been cheering each other on since the beginning of their love story. Since that day, there hasn’t been a moment that each other's happiness and health wasn't the top priority for either of them.
Through StrongMan competitions, moves, graduate school and professional changes… they never stopped cheering.
In October 2014, Trey was diagnosed with cancer and the real fight began. Not just for each other's health, but for their lifetime of memories yet to be had. Then again in January 2016, Trey suffered a relapse of his cancer. After which he was one the first people in Austin Texas to receive a Stem Cell transplant which brought them new hope and resolve as they felt life breathed back into their story.
In 2022, Trey was found to have a Testicular tumor and thyroid cancer. Then in October 2023, his Leukemia was fully back from remission.
Throughout this 9 year battle, Trey and Paula never stopped cheering. They still found ways to laugh and smile, to celebrate each other, and to treasure each moment. They are both dedicated employees of AISD and have kept the hearts of their students at the forefront- truly epitomizing what it means to be a teacher.
We ask for your support in reciprocating that love to them. Trey has suffered major setbacks as of late and has spent more days in, than out, of the hospital. The worry of the future weighs heavy on their mind. Your support can help alleviate any financial worry by allowing them to be fully present with each other and his treatment.
