Coach McNinch is not just a coach. She is a beacon of strength, resilience, and inspiration to all who know her. She is famously dedicated to her athletes at BASIS DC and committed to establishing robust sports options for charter school students around the city, and her work has left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Now, Coach McNinch faces her toughest opponent yet – cancer.

This relentless disease has challenged her in ways we cannot even begin to fathom, but she continues to fight with unwavering courage and determination. Coach and her partner, Courtney, are taking this challenge on with grace and strength. As they navigate the grueling treatment, we want to ensure that they have everything they need.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to rally behind Coach McNinch in her fight against cancer. The funds raised will provide support for medical expenses-including treatments, medications, and any necessary accommodations or extra expenses that come along the way. We also hope to alleviate the other financial strains that come along with cancer treatment, including household expenses, care for their pups, and other day-to-day needs. All of this support will allow Coach and Courtney to focus on what truly matters – her health and well-being.
