This past May, a week before Mother’s Day, life changed forever for my best friend, Chelsea. What should have been a time of love and celebration turned into the beginning of the biggest battle of her life — a breast cancer diagnosis at the young age of 37.

Since her diagnosis, Chelsea has faced this journey with unimaginable strength. She recently completed months of intense chemotherapy, has already undergone multiple surgeries related to her diagnosis, and is scheduled for major surgery at the beginning of October – with at least three more surgeries to follow. Her body is fighting, her spirit is strong – but the road ahead remains long and uncertain. Despite the pain, the fear, and the uncertainty, she has remained focused on what matters most — her children, her husband, and her health.

Because of her treatments and the toll they’ve taken, Chelsea has had to put her career on hold. This loss of income has added an overwhelming financial strain on her family, especially with mounting medical expenses, travel time and costs for treatments, and everyday expenses for a household of five.

This GoFundMe is a chance for us — her friends, her community, and kind-hearted supporters — to lighten the financial burden and allow her to focus on healing. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden of:

Chelsea is a fighter, a loving mother, a devoted military spouse, a true friend, and one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet.
