I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Tequisha Davis. Tequisha is a Nashville native who relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017, where she was thriving and building a stable life for herself. Unfortunately, her journey took a difficult turn after moving into an apartment in December 2024 that was later found to be infested with toxic mold.
Tequisha has lupus, an autoimmune disease that makes her especially vulnerable to environmental hazards. Since living in that apartment, she has suffered a series of severe health complications. Doctors confirmed that prolonged mold exposure greatly worsened her condition. After numerous hospital visits and referrals to specialists, Georgia Code Enforcement deemed her apartment unsafe, forcing her to temporarily relocate to Nashville while she awaits new housing in Georgia, which she can move into on November 1, 2025.
Since returning to Nashville, Tequisha’s health has drastically declined. On October 9th, she was admitted to the hospital, where she remains under close medical care. Her new diagnoses include blood clots in her lungs, throat, and kidneys, as well as a ruptured cyst that has caused additional complications. She has already received a blood transfusion and continues to fight bravely toward recovery.
This unexpected health crisis has left Tequisha facing financial hardship. She has been unable to work and is struggling to cover medical expenses, travel costs, and basic living needs as she prepares to move back into safe housing in Georgia.
We are asking for help from family, friends, and the community to support Tequisha during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward her medical bills, recovery expenses, and relocation costs once she is cleared to move.
Tequisha has always been the type of person to uplift others, and now it’s our turn to uplift her. Please consider donating, sharing her story, and keeping her in your prayers.
Thank you all for your love, generosity, and support. ❤️
