Post stroke therapy for Mike
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
As you all know our beloved Mike suffered a massive stroke in July of 2020. He was found days later by a dear friend and by the grace of God he was alive! He then spent 6 months in the hospital/rehab clinic during the COVID pandemic, meaning no one was able to visit him, which severely affected his mental health. With sheer determination and will power Mike began his life long journey of re-learning how to walk and talk again.
It’s been almost 2 years since his stroke and Mike still doesn’t have full function of the right side of his body, he suffers with apashia (speech deficit) and is confined to a wheelchair. Doctors have advised for Mike to have the best chance of regaining majority function he needs to receive consistent stroke rehabilitation, which includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Mike’s therapy has been inconsistent because of insurance, any additional therapy will have to be out of pocket. With these additional treatments and therapies, we believe, that given Mikes age, positive mindset and determination, he will be able to get back to the life he lived before his stroke, making his famous spaghetti and bacon wrapped meatballs just as he deserves.
Please consider donating whatever you can to help our beloved Mike.
