Stroke Survivor - Would Love a New Lawn Mower
Donation protected
Hi - my name is Scott and I’m a stroke survivor. I had a stroke in 2016 at age 42 (and found out I have a failing heart). I am unable to move the left side of my body except for some swing in my leg. I’m usually in my wheelchair - zipping around my town. I am disabled and no longer working which has been very hard on me. The one thing that makes me happy is yard work. I help my wife as much as possible but I’m limited because of the stroke damage. I am trying to raise enough money to purchase a Cub Cadet rear engine riding lawn mower because it’s one I can actually operate. I have $300 of my own money saved so far. Unfortunately, we have a lot of medical bills so there isn’t a lot of extra money. I just thought I would give this a try even though it feels like begging. I just can’t think of any other ideas. If I get enough to purchase the mower, I’m going to mow lawns for local residents in my area that are going through tough times too. I’ve learned that even small efforts can have a lasting impact.
