Stroke survivor relocating to the west in a new Crosstrek

Donation protected

This campaign is to fund my dream of driving across the country and relocating to the west coast. I have a sportbike and some items to transport and clothes, and there I will accomplish my personal Motoheromission with my Suzuki Motohero-R 600. Driving and riding are some of my favorite things to do.

I will of course first obtain my drivers permit and license in New York, and aim to maybe realistically depart in the spring or summer of 2026, and transfer it to my new state's license. And I will feel safer and will have more freedom accomplishing my personal missions These include racing around my fqvorite tracks in cars and on sportbikes, owning a nice home, kickstarting cool products and things, regaining my original focus on art and drawing, even the survival and status of my bloodline and family name and more.

This all comes after surviving a stroke, some other medical and financial issues, and not driving or riding for a very long time, and never really travelling anywhere. I visited Hershey Park and Sesame Place as a child and have been into NYC a couple of times, but that is it. If you want to get into the details, a lot of them are described in my other campaigns that I have been attempting to fund here on gofundme.

With symptoms from the stroke such as weakness and discoordination etc, I have also been officially diagnosed with Atrial Fribulation, Abnormal Gait, Tinnitus, Lupus Anti-coagulent blood condition, and Sleep Apnea. I have to exercise consistently to 'stay with it' and live on blood thinner. But I have practiced and found that it wasnt too difficult for me to operate a car properly without really any issues. I have a carbon fiber ankle brace and a CPAP machine, and a shower bench that I dont need anymore.

Safety and dependability are main factors in my vehicle selection for the trip, which will be a new Subaru Crosstrek. Along with storage and trailer hitch capability, which I also hope to get funded in this campaign. That will most likely be an enclosed motorcycle trailer with my Suzuki and 'fat' ebike inside.

When I arrive, I will have found or will find someplace like a decent apartment to move into and have some funds to survive on while I focus on getting my income going, and/or be hired before I arrive too. My SSI payments were ended the same month that I finally cleared my license in preperation to return to the road. But with just the vehicle, there are so more ways that I can earn money. I also hope to find a place that allows pets.

I am a good citizen and driver, and have been wanting to relocate for a long time. I think that it is a much better fit for me. And this current home has bad housing conditions here. The house needs a new roof and badly damaged ceilings repaired. I plan on running yet another fundraiser for this and giving my mother the money for her to get things repaired or whatever she decides to do. I would like to do more soonerin this area too, but with no income and credit in need of some repair, there isn't much I can do, esecially with my other campaigns lacking any funding and difficulties with the weird internet and social media things.

And things have not gone well for me in NY, even starting at a young age, as well as other things that are no fault of my own. I am not a criminal and am a nice person. A fresh start in a new area and even just owning a new vehicle will be really great for whatever I want and need to do, without having to be ready to ride, which can be inconsistent for me with my medical problems, etc. But I also love to drive, and makes more sense for me to travel long-distance. And I really appreciate California's motorcycle permit rules in comparison to NY's permit and license rules and requirements. I also dont really know anyone around here and am looking forward to being on my own and independant, and enjoy living at least a normal life.

My family moved from one town a few towns over to the next, and then here to Rocky Point. I have worked off the books and at other various jobs in the past, but I have never gotten to owning a new vehicle. I scored 100% on my original drivers license road test. I also obtained all gold medals in the license tests of Gran Turismo 1-4, and many more games. It isnt the real thing, but the simulations really do make better drivers. I dont forsee getting pulled over at all on my trek. And after surviving on monthly benefit payments for so long, am used to having to micro-manage my budget.

I am 47 years old, can handle money and make logical decisions, find someplace to eat, a hotel with vacancy, know the milage to the next gas station, and can study on travel and attempt to set things up for myself out there, etc. I was also considering attending a school like UTI for motorcycle mechanics, and setting up my own custom upgrade shop on the future.

I am also on X @motoheromission, so you can also get into the 500+ posts and some other weird things.

Please know that my goals and dreams are good and well deserved, and I hope I will be an inspiration to other handicap and disabled people. You may think it is over, but you can get stronger over time and still enjoy what you did before. I will always be a stroke victim, but have confidence that I am honest and stress importance for my own well being and vehicles, and the safety of other drivers and theirs.

Please drive and ride safe, thanks!
