Hello,

My name is Alena and my sister is Nikia. Recently our Dad suffered a stroke (actually 2 strokes after looking at scans) and has been hospitalized in Montana. On top of having 2 strokes he also has a severe hernia that needs surgery. Our Dad, Walt, is a veteran and has been a life long mountain man. He did not do well planning in case of such an emergency like this, leaving my sister and I scrambling to pull funds together and get him set up with services. We are currently in the process of trying to move him closer to us in Colorado and we need funds for an assisted living home until we can get him approved for services through the VA and Medicaid. He needs a higher level of care than we can provide at home as his speech and sight have been severely affected by his strokes as well as his memory and cognitive functions.
