Stroke Strong for Gus Barnes

Gus is a 32 year old father of 5. Two girls, Emarei who is 11 and Jailee who is 8. And three boys; Karsein,5...Cortlein,3...and August,1. When he is not busy working, coaching, and being an amazing dad, he enjoys semi-pro football with the North Texas Mustangs.
On December 16, Gus suffered a ischemic attack that went unnoticed. It was diagnosed as fatigue and he was clear to maintain normal activities. As minimal symptoms persisted, he still managed to maintain his crazy amazing life along side his wife of 6 years, Alisha.
On January 1, Gus suffered a second stroke that unfortunately effected him much more severely. He was transferred from United Regional in his hometown of Wichita Falls to UT Southwestern located in Dallas, TX. While he has began to regain lots of function including speech and motion, he still has a long road of recovery ahead.
Gus will be unable to work for quite some time until he can regain most of his normal functions. Life doesn't stop just because he is sick. All proceeds will be used to help them maintain financial responsibility while he is out of work and pay medical expenses. In addition to regular financial dues, they will now have a slew of medical bills, home equipment accommodations, and on going physical, speech, and occupational therapy visits.
