Hello, my name is Stephanie Price, and I am Steve Price's oldest daughter. Recently my dad suffered an unforeseen massive stroke while at home with my mom. Each day we have been praying and asking his friends and family to do the same. He is still in the hospital (since January 23) but out of ICU; praise God! This, as the doctors have told us, is a marathon and not a sprint. The doctors are taking excellent care of him on this long road of recovery, and we have just been informed that intensive rehabilitation will take place once the doctors clear him and he is stable enough to leave the hospital. My parents are currently displaced from their home, as the trauma unit he was sent to is 3 hours from their home. Thank the Lord they are close to family here. We are all coming together to support this situation to the best of our ability. My dad has always been the most positive person I have ever met. As we grew up, both my mom and dad were the ones who would pack bags with blankets, snacks, water, daily devotionals and bibles to go hand out to the homeless for Christmas with all 5 of their kids. Dad could turn any bad situation into a silver lining moment. I believe there is a silver lining here: dad is growing healthier by the day and progressing in all aspects. I am asking anyone who can please help us in our efforts to alleviate financial stress within this situation for my mom and dad during this most stressful time of their life. We believe and expect a full recovery. Thank you.
