Stroke Recovery for Lars Johansson
Donation protected
After having his second stroke in two years, beloved Lars is in great need of financial assistance. He is currently staying at the Bridger Rehab and Care Center in Bozeman, Montana. Lars is sharing a tiny room, divided by a curtain, with a man who is incapacitated.
Bridger Care provides standard American fare, which is severely lacking in nutrients. He is receiving both physical and occupational therapy though, which is helping a lot!
Thanks to initial donations, Lars has been able to make significant progress with a local nutritionist. He is receiving select supplements, which are really helping him with cognition, his main challenge. Despite all that he has been through Lars remains positive and good-natured, God bless him!
Lars has made definite progress over the last 6 weeks. His long term memory is functional...the short term memory is not so good. Lars still has a lot more progress to make in order to have a chance at living an almost normal life again.
Lars' oldest daughter, Almira, is doing an admirable job of working full-time, visiting her dad, and she is also taking care of all of Lars' financials. We are very grateful for her help. She also took Lars into her own home following a hospital stay in Livingston.
Most of us have known Lars in the capacity of friend and also have benefited from decades of his ministry. Lars was ordained as a minister when he was still a young man.
For all of the service that Lars has given selflessly over the years, and for all of the Love that he has shared with all of us, we are asking now for help for our dear brother, Lars.
Please , please reach as deeply as you can into your pockets to maximize the chance for Lars to regain as much of what he has lost as possible!
Without financial assistance, Lars will tragically be stuck in a totally dependent state. With all of Lars' friends pitching in, we feel that he will have the best chance of returning to near normal functionality.
Right now is an important window of time to maximize his brain's ability to reverse more of the impact the recent stroke had on his cognitive function.
Any amount will help, but please be as generous as you are able.
God bless you all, I know that dear Lars does love you so!
Beyond financial assistance, providing Lars with companionship during this isolating experience is greatly appreciated.
