On May 27, 2025, our own Henry Strittmatter tragically passed away from a sudden heart attack while digging a grave for the family’s beloved dog. He was only trying to bring comfort to his family in a difficult moment, and in the process, we lost an incredible man.
Henry was an outstanding Resident Inspector at the NRC, on the front lines for safety and security. He was also a military vet, having spent a decade in service to the US Navy nuclear fleet.
Henry leaves behind his loving wife, Rebecca, and their three beautiful boys. He was a kind-hearted, hardworking man—deeply valued by his coworkers, cherished by his friends, and endlessly devoted to his family. This GoFundMe is to help support Rebecca and the boys during this unimaginable time. Funds will go toward funeral expenses, immediate financial needs, and helping provide some stability for the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
