I have been stringing for 24 years and have personally strung over 59,000 racquets in my career, and this is my passion. I love what I do, and I love where my passion has taken me.
We have heard from so many of you that you would like us to have an office in Frisco, TX, so that is what we plan to do.
We want this to work, and want to be able to serve everyone for many years to come, so we want to make sure we have enough in the bank to make this work.
Our goal is to be in an office by July 2018.
We are hoping that we can get the funds together that we need to make this happen. The funds we raise will go for rent, security deposit, inventory, a new stringing machine and miscellaneous stuff for the office. We have broken things down below.
We have started researching offices in Frisco, and they range anywhere from $1,500-$2,000 a month. We would like to have 6 months worth of rent plus 1 month security deposit in the bank before we commit and sign anything. We are going to play it safe and figure $2,000 a month. That would be a total of $12,000 for rent plus another $2,000 for security deposit totaling $14,000. Having all that money in the bank will help us when the slow winter months roll around. This way we can already have rent and be able to put more money away each week so that those slow times won’t be so horrendously stressful.
We plan on stocking up on string and accessories so that we have enough to get us through the first few months. That is going to run us around $5,000.
We also would like to get another stringing machine. Last year the stringing machine came home with us over 40 times so that I could get racquets done in order to meet the demand. That meant loading the machine at the office, unloading it at home, re-loading it the next morning at home, then unloading it again at the office. That is a lot of wear and tear on a machine, and also on our bodies. The machine weighs around 200 pounds and takes both me and Nicki to load it and unload it. That is honestly the last thing that Nicki should be doing with her weak heart, but we had no choice. That is why we want to get another machine. That way the new machine will be at the office and the old machine will be at home for all those nights that racquets need to come home. A new machine will be around $6,000.
Lastly we will need to furnish the office, get office supplies and other miscellaneous items. For this we are going to ballpark $5,000.
That brings the total that we need to $30,000.
As mentioned above our goal is to be in an office by July 2018. We are hoping that our services are desired enough and that we can hit our goal.
Since we are not the type to just take and not give anything, here is what we are going to do.
